This relatively simple armor consists of heavy chains that wrap around your body and limbs. While it weighs more and provides less protection than other medium armors, it is also less of a hindrance. In addition, if you are wielding a spiked chain, you can affix it to one hand. This functions as a locked gauntlet, and if you are proficient with spiked chains, you can treat the spiked chain as a one-handed weapon while it is attached. You can affix a spiked chain to each hand this way, but you can’t wear locked gauntlets while wearing a chain coat, and you can’t attach any weapon to a chain coat except spiked chains.

Gambeson

DESCRIPTION

A gambeson, serves as a padded defensive jacket that can be utilized as standalone armor or in conjunction with other armors. A Gambeson grants the wearer DR 3/- vs bludgeoning damage. When a Gambeson is enchanted to increased the AC this DR also increases by the enchantment bonus.
Although a Gambeson can be worn as armor itself, it is most often worn under heavier armors. When worn under other armors the AC bonus does not stack but the protection from bludgeoning damage is still effective.

Samite Coat

DESCRIPTION

War Plate

DESCRIPTION

This heavy metal armor is incredibly imposing and similar to full plate armor in design. Extra plates, guards, and gussets are in place to better protect the joints and other common weak spots in armor. This additional protection comes at the cost of manueverabily, wearing war plate imposes a -2 penalty on all Reflex saves.
