An Altilium is an ancient portable power source, similar to a battery. The core of the device itself serves as an enclosure for an artificially created pocket of subspace-time. Energy is extracted from this pocket until it reaches maximum entropy, at which point the pocket collapses.
If an Altilium is placed within a portable hole, a rift to the Astral Plane is torn in the space and the Altilium and hole are sucked into the void and forever lost.
A Confractor is an ancient reactor that is fueled by D2O and generates electricity through a type of nuclear fusion that occurs at near room temperature.
Deuterium Oxide, better known as Heavy water is a form of water that contains only deuterium rather than the common hydrogen isotope that makes up most of the hydrogen in normal water. The presence of the heavier hydrogen isotope gives the water different nuclear properties, and the increase of mass gives it slightly different physical and chemical properties when compared to normal water. It is a common fuel source for ancient technology.

Tritium, better known as H3 is a rare and radioactive isotope of hydrogen. The nucleus of tritium contains one proton and two neutrons, whereas the nucleus of the common isotope hydrogen contains just one proton, and that of hydrogen 2 (deuterium) contains one proton and one neutron. Naturally occurring tritium is extremely rare. The atmosphere has only trace amounts, formed by the interaction of its gases with cosmic rays. It can be produced artificially by irradiating lithium metal in a Confractor. It is a powerful fuel source used by advanced ancient technology.
